This Downtime Credit Policy applies only if you are a Banana Hosting customer and is intended to be a fair policy holding us answerable for your website's downtime.
Uptime:
Banana Hosting aims to maintain 99% service availability. Uptime coverage includes web sites, emails, databases and other virtual services only. Third party software such as control panel, statistics, site builder etc. are excluded.
Credits:
In the event of an outage where Banana Hosting does not meet the uptime you expect, Banana Hosting will issue a credit to the customer's account only for the amounts shown below. This will be based on what we believe is fair although we understand that it is not a replacement from any lost income. Credits are only issued to accounts in good financial standing. And no cash alterative is available.
Credit Calculation Method:
| 15mins | $0.3 |
| 1 hour | $1 |
| 2 hours | $2 |
| 3 hours | $3 |
| 4 hours | $4 |
Additional hours, up to 8 hours, $1 per hour. 8 hours or more is equal to a full credit for the affected month's service equal to your most recent fully paid month.
How To Request Credit:
In order to receive a credit to your account, you must request a credit within seven (7) business days of your experienced downtime. All requests must be submitted using the Banana Hosting Credit Request Form. All requests must contain your account number and/or user name, the dates and times of the downtime of your web site, the domain that experienced downtime, and the server said domain is hosted on. Banana Hosting will make every effort possible to credit your account in a timely manner. Credit to your customer account shall be the exclusive resolution to any website downtime.
Standard Restriction:
Credits shall not be provided to you in the event that you have downtime resulting from scheduled maintenance, account suspensions or downtimes resulting from customer's own coding or applications, or circumstances beyond Banana Hosting's control, including and without limitation, denial of service attacks, acts of any governmental body, acts of God or aliens, war, insurrection, embargo, sabotage, fire, flood, labor disturbance, interruption or delay in transportation, unavailability or interruption or delay in telecommunications or third party services (including DNS propagation), failure of third party software or hardware or inability to obtain raw materials, supplies, or power used in or equipment needed for provision of services.
